The research findings are based on at least 28 reviews / comments
of actual Beautyrest / Cozy electric blanket owners collected
from diverse sources, including owner reviews on retailer websites, online message boards and product review websites.
Research Findings
Material
Material for the product varies from 100% acrylic to 100% polyester
to a cotton/poly blend. Owners included in our research were
generally split on whether they thought that any of the material
was soft and comfortable enough. In regard to appearance, however,
they were pleased. About 20% of the owners of the polyester
blanket said that it shed fuzz.
Heating Elements
No owners indicated that the heating wires in the blanket were
too noticeable.
Heating Effectiveness
Owners reported that the blanket produces adequate heat. There
was some disagreement, however, about whether the product heats
fast enough.
Durability / Reliability
About 15% of owners said that the product within a year developed
a defect of some kind which did not allow the blanket to work
properly or at all. These owners were typically the ones who
were not satisfied with their purchase.
