Natural Vs Synthetic Latex Mattress → Which Is Better According To Actual Owners?
Our data includes reviews from owners of both natural and synthetic latex mattresses. Based on this data, owners overall do not seem to find a noteworthy difference in comfort or durability between the two. However, more owner data is needed to be certain.
All latex is either a natural / synthetic blend of varying percentages or 100% natural latex. It's important to know that there is no law prohibiting manufacturers from saying that their mattresses are “natural” latex — even if in fact the product has only, say, 50% natural latex with the rest being synthetic.
Finally, in regard to latex processing methods, it is possible to make both natural and synthetic latex using the Talalay and Dunlop methods. For the Talalay process, synthetics are usually used, but not always.
