Glossary
Comfortable
Lying and sleeping on the mattress is restful because it adequately relieves pressure points and allows muscles, especially back muscles, to relax. In other words, the mattress provides at least the opportunity for better, more efficient sleep.

Uncomfortable
The mattress does not personally suit the sleeper or provide quality sleep.

Good temporarily
The mattress performs well when used as a temporary bed, but may not be well suited for use on a permanent basis.

Holds air
Air only occasionally needs to be added for the bed to maintain its firmness.

Adjustable firmness
Air can be added or removed to make the mattress firmer or softer, depending on the preference of the sleeper.

Loses air / deflates
Air regularly needs to be added to the bed to maintain firmness.

Inflates fast
The pump is effective in quickly inflating the mattress.

Hard to get up off
Some models are low to the ground, making it difficult for the sleeper to get up.

Cold
The air in the bed stays near room temperature resulting in a cold sleep surface.

Less pain
The mattress results in less pain for the sleeper, such as back, shoulder, and hip discomfort.

Big people friendly
The bed is comfortable and holds up well even if the sleeper is heavy.

Noisy pump
Using the pump in the middle of the night may disturb other people sleeping nearby because of the noise.

Heavy
The mattress is difficult to move and make due to its weight.

Lightweight
The bed is easy to move and store given its low weight.

Good for sex
Sex on the mattress is possible and enjoyable, but not necessarily better than on other beds.

Durable
The product has lasted at least three years with fairly regular use and shows little if any signs of wear.

No flipping needed
The bed does not need to be turned to maintain its comfort or to avoid sagging.

Causes pain
Sleeping on the mattress results in back, hip or shoulder pain.

Unstable
The product lacks the stability of a conventional bed.
